Join us for the inaugural Good Travel Alliance (GTA) Summit and dedicated Training Days, a central part of the Green Destinations 2025 event in Montpellier, France. Under the theme Experience. Evaluate. Elevate., this landmark two-day onsite training is designed for destinations, businesses, and experts committed to sustainable tourism, focusing on scaling good travel experiences and fostering sustainable tourism globally. Held just before the Green Destinations 2025 Conference, this hands-on training offers in-depth knowledge and practical tools to build a more sustainable, responsible, and resilient tourism future.

    • An overview of practical sustainability scan tools: Business Sector Sustainability Scan (BSSS), Product and Activity Sustainability Scan (PASS), Trail and Activity Sustainability Scan (TASS), and the Public Space Sustainability Scan (PSSS).

    • Guidance on evaluating GTE Enablers with Indicators and the Good Travel Seal (GTS), with demonstrations and examples.

    • Strategies for designing sustainable events through the new Good Events certification.

    • Insights into creating Good Travel Trails.

    • Effective promotion strategies using TravelTech Tools for destination mapping and GTE promotion.

    • A dedicated workshop on the GTA KPI Master Framework, focusing on its design, integration, and optimizing KPI use for destination management.

    • How to leverage environmental impact data to understand broader contexts and track changes over time of sustainability actions.

    D'Arcy Dornan

    Dr. D'Arcy Dornan

    D’Arcy Dornan, Ph.D., is a global executive and Chair of the Green Destinations Foundation, leveraging over 20 years of cross-sector experience in sustainability, ESG, innovation, and destination development. Formerly affiliated with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC), he is now an active Board Member of the Future of Tourism Coalition and associate faculty at Royal Roads University. As Good Travel Alliance (GTA) co-lead, D’Arcy is helping to develop the GTA’s KPI Master Framework, a data-driven impact measurement solution for Good Travel Experiences.

    Elisabeth Boon

    is Assurance Manager for Business Certification at Green Destinations, where she leads the implementation of sustainability certification systems for tourism enterprises and events. Her expertise spans natural resource management, stakeholder engagement and environmental compliance. With a strong foundation in conservation and sustainable tourism, she has worked across Latin America, Africa, Europe and Australia. Elisabeth brings a practical and multicultural lens to destination-level sustainability. She is committed to helping businesses take measurable steps toward long-term environmental and social responsibility.

    Holger-Sigmund

    Holger Sigmund

    is an entrepreneur, trainer and strategic advisor with over two decades of experience in tourism, hospitality and MICE. He specialises in guiding businesses and destinations through sustainable and digital transformation, service design and change management. As co-founder of Tourism Impact and the Club of Change, he creates spaces for dialogue and capability-building around future-oriented leadership. Holger is also associated with Green Destinations in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, supporting the adoption of global sustainability standards. His work blends industry insight, systems thinking and a strong focus on enabling practical, long-term impact.

    Amit Bhatia

    Amit Bhatia

    is a product marketing and communications specialist in sustainable tourism and travel tech, with a PhD focused on responsible travel behaviour and digital platforms. He leads marketing and growth at Green Destinations, where he has built strategic campaigns, global partnerships and high-impact events for the organisation’s international network. His experience spans roles with TripDoodler, EnviroRental and several tourism innovation platforms. Amit combines data-driven storytelling with deep sector knowledge to make sustainability more actionable for tourism businesses. He brings a strong foundation in academic research, digital strategy and cross-sector collaboration.
